Discover Coffee Lounge Lemon: A Hidden Gem in Shinjuku

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Shinjuku, Coffee Lounge Lemon offers a serene escape from the bustling streets of Tokyo. This charming cafe is not just a place to grab a coffee; it's a culinary experience wrapped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Culinary Delights

The menu at Coffee Lounge Lemon features a variety of tantalizing options, but the standout is undoubtedly the 【三元豚パストラミポークのサラダボウル】. Priced at just JP¥980, this salad bowl showcases the richness of Sangen pork, beautifully complemented by fresh greens. Each bite is an explosion of flavor, from the savory, tender pork to the crisp, energizing vegetables.

For those with a sweet tooth, the cafe's offerings are equally delightful. While I personally had my heart set on the elusive double cheesecake, I was delighted to try the crepe cake instead, which was both light and indulgent. The meticulous craftsmanship of their seasonal wagashi, shaped like blooming sakura, adds an artistic touch to your experience, promising not just taste but also a feast for the eyes.

Atmosphere and Service

Step inside and you’re immediately met with a calm, cool ambiance that’s perfect for both intimate dates and casual catch-ups with friends. As 'Neko Kawaii' describes, the view of the street below enhances your experience, allowing you to soak in the lively scene of Shinjuku while sipping on expertly crafted drinks. Customers rave about the friendly and attentive staff, with reviews highlighting how they go above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. Imagine being greeted with a warm smile and prompt service that makes you feel valued—just as 'Ayako Iwasaki' experienced during her large group visit.

A Community Hub

Not only is Coffee Lounge Lemon a perfect spot for a quiet afternoon, but it also embraces its role as a community hub. 'Denise Siy' noted how easy it is to miss this gem in the ever-busy district, yet once discovered, it beckons return visits. Whether you’re in need of a workspace with free WiFi or a cozy corner to enjoy a book and your favorite coffee, this cafe delivers.

The food and service here are really great! I went with a large group and was worried we could not be seated but they accomodated for us, and let us know of an approzimate waiting time. The food and drinks tasted great, and the woman serving us was very friendly. I ordered a drink only first, but when i ordered a desert later she offered to change it to a set price instead, which was very kind of her. The autmosphere is very calm and is not as chaotic as other busy cafes in Tokyo. Would definitely recommend.

A quiet cafe located along Shinjuku's busiest street I've frequented this area many times in the past year but only just noticed Coffee Lounge Lemon when I took the bus home a few days ago! It's very easy to miss if you're always in a rush I initially wanted to try the double cheesecake but they sold out for the day. Instead I got the crepe cake and the honjuras blend set. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the crepe cake! Most cafes in Japan will usually just have a plain one but Coffee Lounge added their own twist and stuffed fruit in between the layers It wasn't too sweet and enjoyed the mixture of fruits in every bite! On the other hand, the coffee was great too. I like my coffee a little bitter and this was an excellent choice. For those of you who aren't too fond of light roast coffee, I highly recommend the honjuras blend The service was also top tier! The barista was constantly smiling even when he wasn't serving guests I saw him monitoring the cameras, taking down orders, and even arranging the menus all with a smile on his face! Although the cafe looks small when you enter, they do have a 2nd floor so don't worry! They also have free wifi which is much appreciated these days. Also, when you enter the cafe the first thing you'll smell is actually the taco rice being prepared in the kitchen Next time, I would love to try the taco rice and the double cheesecake!

Served in a rustic black cup, their coffee presented a deep, clean appearance, with a hint of richness in its aroma. The siphon brewing setup in the background could suggest precision and care in extraction and resulted in the cup with clarity and a balanced bitterness. Their seasonal wagashi was a work of art—delicately shaped like blooming sakura, with beautiful shades of pink and purple. Its elegant presentation on a textured plate with a wooden pick enhanced the experience. It featured a smooth, lightly sweet bean paste inside, offering a refined contrast to the coffee’s depth. A pairing that reflected thoughtfulness and Japanese seasonality. Their tomato-based spaghetti was simple yet vibrant, with generous chunks of avocado and tomato on top. The modest portion was ideal for a café meal, and the combination of creamy avocado with tangy tomato sauce gave it a fresh, modern twist

Service was prompt, swift and friendly. The atmosphere is definitely ideal for dates or small social gatherings. While the pastries and coffee were delicious, it is pricey for the quality provided. However the friendly relaxed atmosphere compensates for the price.

Lemon Coffee Lounge is such a cozy and delightful spot for brunch! The food was amazing, with fresh and flavorful dishes that were beautifully presented. The coffee was equally impressive rich, aromatic, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food. The staff were friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience.

Located right across from Uniqlo - super convenient! Enter from the ground floor but seating is one floor up. Nice space with good AC for a hot summer day. Good selection of coffee. Matcha available too. Had an iced matcha latte and a Mont Blanc tart. Both were tasty, but slightly on the sweeter side. Nice place to chill. There’s a nice bar seating area overlooking the busy streets but also a longer table for larger groups. They have free wifi too! Could imagine getting some laptop work done here.

Relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee, delicious cake and the nice ambience here. Although small there is counter seating downstairs and tables upstairs. Service at either is quick although at busy times you may have to wait to be seated. The menu is extensive, with a variety of hot and cold drinks. As this is Shinjuku, you will pay around 600 yen for an ice latte, but note that this is quite normal for an independent coffee shop situated in this area. I thought the price was well worth it for the pleasant environment, speedy service, quality of food and free wi-fi (which was easy to connect to and fast). We tried the cakes here and really enjoyed them - note that "cake sets" are available with slightly reduced drink prices. At the time I visited all the clients were Japanese, although staff did speak some English. I will happily visit again if in the area!
